“Being a part of the Royalty Empowerment Mentor Program has taught me many things, one of which is how to navigate life while being surrounded by negative outside influences. The program is a phenomenal opportunity to learn how to make connections with people you're not accustomed to meeting or being around. Overall, the experiences I've gotten from the program have benefited me abundantly.

 

Being able to be apart of the basketball team has given me the ability to understand a law enforcers perspective on why certain situations happen as well as being able to connect and dissect issues within the law itself. Hearing innocent officers take responsibility for their peers corrupt behavior makes me appreciate and respect that there's people who candidly work in the force to protect and serve.
